Audit has commenced - Compliance with registration standards

18 Nov 2013

The Occupational Therapy Board of Australia has developed a new Audit page, which provides comprehensive information on the audit of compliance with registration standards.

All registered practitioners are required to comply with the National Board’s registration standards. The registration standards are published on the National Board websites under Registration standards.

Each time a practitioner applies to renew their registration; they must make a declaration that they have met the registration standards for their profession.

Practitioner audits are an important part of the way that National Boards and Ahpra can better protect the public by regularly checking these declarations made by a random sample of practitioners. They help to make sure that practitioners are meeting the standards they are required to meet and provide important assurance to the community and the Boards.

Auditing of all professions has commenced

If you are selected for audit you will be notified in writing and requested to provide evidence that you meet the requirements of the standard.

Practitioners are encouraged to visit the new section of the webpage to learn more about this process.

The Board will continue to provide detailed information of this process.

If you need more information, please email the audit team at registration9@ahpra.gov.au, or call the customer service line Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 1300 419 495.
